Description: To celebrate what would have been Newport News Icon Pearl Bailey's 92nd birthday, The Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center will honor Pearl Bailey with a comedy showcase the last weekend of March to annually celebrate her many talents as a celebrated comedienne, singer, entertainer and comedy as an art form. Kicking off this annual event will be National Comedian/Actress Cocoa Brown who hails from Newport News along with some special guests. **MINDS WIDE OPEN: Virginia Celebrates Women in the Arts**
