SPRING RHAPSODY - "Get on Your Feet!"

The Governors School for the Arts (GSA) presents SPRING RHAPSODY featuring GSAs Voices of Virginia in Get On Your Feet, a high-energy song and dance revue of 60s rock and Motown classics featuring songs made famous by The Beatles, ABBA, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin, The Jackson 5, Elvis and many more.  The Voices of Virginia recently toured Japan and performed Get On Your Feet at three sold-out venues.

 

SPRING RHAPSODY will also feature Tokyos Nittai Dai Dance Group, one of Japans most recognized and revered collegiate Japanese traditional and modern dance groups. They recently performed in Canada, Australia and Germany.  This show marks their 5th time performing in the USA.

 

Two shows are slated for The Roper Theatre on Granby Street in Norfolk on Friday, March 26th at 7:30 PM and Saturday, March 27th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are only $11 each for General Admission seating.  Tickets are available at the Virginia Arts Festival box office in MacArthur Mall at the information desk.  They can also be purchased at the door (pending availability), any Ticketmaster location, or online at www.ticketmaster.com.  If using Ticketmaster, their convenience fee will apply. SPRING RHAPSODY is a not-to-miss event, combining the talent of our area high school students who also attend GSA, and the creative artistry of Tokyos finest dancers.
